I can't tell you how great it is, when you're stuck in stop and go traffic on the 405, to have a car that you can rely on that does the driving for you! Yeah. get on the freeway, in a traffic jam, put the car in Auto Pilot, and it'll accelarate, brake, steer. there ARE features which most people expect in a car this price, which are missing. The Y doesn't NOT have cooled seats, no mood lighting, no built in garage opener unless you pay extra. If you have an appointment in your calendar, and it's for 30-60 minutes from when you get in, the navigation will already be giving you directions to your appointment, no need to enter the info again! Put the car in drive and go! No Start/stop button. Get in, step on the brake, and the seat moves into your preset position, the steering wheel moves to your position, and other features set to your pre-set preferences! Walk up to your car with your cell phone in your pocket, the car recognizes you (or your wife, or whoever is registered to the car), and moves the seats back and the steering wheel out of your way, for easy access into your vehicle. You're paying for technology, and battery plus the best charging infrastructure in the country at the moment. ![]() it's over $60k, but the average car price today, according to Edmunds is $47k, so it's not an inexpensive car, but it's also not $100k or more, such as a Mercedes. ![]() It is NOT a luxury car! Don't compare it to a MB, Cadillac, etc. the car has a stiff ride, but it's faster then my BMW M2, and is simply a blast to drive! It is a 2022 model, and perhaps there have been improvements from earlier models, but our Model Y has not had any panel gaps, NO rattling. Picked up our Model Y Performance on Dec.
