![]() Click the Install Now button below an extension you want to try, and the extension is automatically downloaded, installed and activated. ![]() Like the App Store, Extensions Gallery features a simple one-step installation process. Instead, they're all listed on a single gallery page, which is divided into several categories including News, Shopping, Productivity and Social Networking. Unlike the official Firefox and Chrome extension sites, the Safari Extensions Gallery doesn't have a separate page for each extension. Any developer can submit one, but if you look through Extensions Gallery, you'll notice many come from major media outlets or social networks. As in the App Store, Apple picks which extensions get listed in Extensions Gallery based on how well they perform and the functions they add to Safari. The gallery, a curated collection of extensions submitted by third-party developers, is similar to the company's App Store for iPhone and iPad software. The idea is to allow users to customize Safari in ways that make Web surfing more efficient and fun. Any help on resolving this problem would be appreciated.Following in the footsteps of Firefox and Chrome, Apple this summer began allowing developers to create extensions for its Safari 5 Web browser and more recently launched its Extensions Gallery. Just don't get why restoring ist is not allowing me to 'Reopen All Windows From Last Session'. I can open the plist file with TextEdit and can see some of the URLs I need to retrieve but its a massive chaotic file and not sure I can get everything I need in a reasonable time. Tried to run a script developed by community member 6圆 to generate a Bookmark file from which I could reopen all my old tabs, but running the script fails to produce a functioning bookmark file. I have a copy of one of these recent versions of ist from Time Machine on my desktop, and using the advice in the thread 20, 2021, implying that the file hasn't been modified since then, although that is still fine for my needs. Interestingly, all of the Time Machine versions of ist file from the last few weeks all say last modified Sept. I have tried this a few times, even restarting computer before reopening Safari, and even trying to restore entire '~/Library/Safari/' folder to no avail. I have recent Time Machine backups and tried the frequently suggested strategy of restoring a recent version of ~/Library/Safari/ist from Time Machine, but when I close Safari and then do this and restart Safari, the 'Reopen All Windows From Last Session' command is greyed out and not available. Unfortunately I did not have the sense to 'Add Bookmarks For These Tabs', and after an unexpected shutdown of Safari yesterday, I inadvertently opened and closed Safari before using 'Reopen All Windows From Last Session'. Occasionally, when I would inadvertently close a window full of tabs or shut down Safari, I could utilize 'Recently Closed', 'Reopen Last Closed Tab', or 'Reopen All Windows From Last Session' commands to recover. ![]() Periodically, I would need to restart computer and tabs would all reopen. I had a rather large number of tabs in multiple windows open in Safari representing a lot of research effort. I am running Big Sur 11.6 on a 2016 MacBook Pro.
